History of the LeagueFounded by Dr. Archie M. Moss, Jr., our league has grown from humble beginnings to become Shelby County Schools' first-ever Elementary Basketball League. It all started with a few schools playing friendly games, and now we offer an exciting and competitive basketball experience for boys in grades 3-5.
Our league provides a safe and positive environment where young athletes can develop their basketball skills while having fun. With leagues, tournaments, and special events, we focus on skill development and cultivating joy on the court. We believe in the power of sports to strengthen school cultures, improve attendance and morale, enhance student achievement and accountability, and reduce infractions and suspensions. The Elementary Basketball League serves as a fantastic after-school outlet for elementary students, promoting our core values of Integrity, Fellowship, Excellence, and Joy. |
